But more than the macro-impact in the country’s economy, education is the key that unlocks the gate to the vast array of opportunities in life. It enables one to dream, hope, and aspire. This has made it possible for millions of Filipinos who are corporate executives, doctors, nurses, engineers, teachers, artists, and skilled workers to find employment overseas, and in the process, provide for the needs of their families with the money they send home. Today, overseas-based Filipinos contribute an average of  Php1.2B monthly to the Philippine economy.

Go Rinconada Movement believes that education is the great equalizer in life. It levels the playing field between those who have more in life, and those who have less. Whereas for the former, education at the least, ensures continuity of the family’s economic status, it creates a much more significant impact on the upward mobility of the latter. Education is the poor man’s ticket to a better life, and his passport out of poverty.

With this, how do we now enable poor but deserving students of Rinconada have access to good, quality education? How do we give them a head-start just like others who can very well afford it? How do we give them a fair chance at succeeding in life as many of us did?  How can we help them fulfill their dreams?

We can do a lot in so many ways. Donate books, and school supplies. Provide a PC for the use of a class. Sponsor a student’s tuition payment. Subsidize  a public school teacher’s living allowance. Help raise funds for the repair or construction of a classroom.

Go Rinconada Movement has an array of programs which you may support depending on one’s capacity to extend help. Any assistance in whatever form will go a long way in helping these students achieve their dreams of becoming someone someday just like you and me.
