A NEW BEGINNING FOR RINCONADA!
January 2008

L et me wish you the very best for 2008!   For Go Rinconada Movement, this is not just a new year, but the operational beginning of our new endeavor.   I would like to take a few moments to share my thoughts with you on the organization’s rationale and the challenges in the year ahead.

Look around you. Has there been any significant improvement in your family’s   quality of life, in the lives of your neighbors in recent years? Do you have access to quality education and skills development as students? Have there been significant opportunities for jobs and livelihood in your barangay, in your town/city, in the entire Rinconada area?

Like you, these are just some of the questions I posed to myself. But unlike others who chose apathy, I ventured to ask myself further, what can I do to help? How can I share my blessings to the community? How can I leverage on my network and resources for the good of many? How can I intervene in my own little way and contribute in improving the lives of the less privileged? How can I harness my capabilities and use them so others maybe empowered to be as capable if not more successful than myself?

I chose to make a difference in your lives. I chose to establish Go Rinconada Movement. Take action now and make this your choice too!

Join and volunteer! Move and do your share to achieve progress in Rinconada! Develop your capability by maximizing your full potential!
Go Rinconada Movement embodies all our aspirations for a better quality of life, better access to education, better opportunities in life, a better Rinconada - without prejudice to one but grants equal opportunities and development for the people of Baao, Balatan, Bato, Buhi, Bula, Iriga, and Nabua. Together as one united and strong Rinconada!

The success of the organization shall be driven by people of Rinconada, young and old, students and professionals, employees and businessmen, socio-civic, religious and government leaders who stake their commitment to volunteer, collaborate and proactively participate in the development of the district and the social upliftment of the people of Rinconada.

Overall, the organizational’s vision is to be a catalyst for progress and positive social transformation in Rinconada for generations to come.

Objectives :

  • Provide livelihood, skills-building, and employment opportunities   through linkage with private companies, relevant government agencies and NGO's.
  • Promote education, literacy, and values-formation a mong the youth
  • Promote sound nutrition, health, and wellness among families
  • Develop the overall economy of the district by promoting business, investment, and tourism opportunities
  • Promote the preservation of Rinconada culture and history
  • Promote accountability, transparency, and good governance in public office

All these are easily said than done. But we have to start somewhere and the time to start is now! The time to leapfrog is now! All it takes is a change of mindset.

How each of us approaches and embraces these objectives will decide how far we will progress towards being the strong and committed organization I know we can be. How far and fast we grow as an organization will be determined by how determined you are.

In 2008, we have a few milestones ahead of us:

  • Grow the membership. Recruit people who share our ideals, our vision.
  • Strengthen the organization and function as an effective team.
  • Implement identified programs which are key to our strategic focus.

Our collective journey is now underway. I invite you to be part of this transformation towards a brighter future. “ Kin buko kita, si isay? Kin buko nguwan, kuno pa? “   Be active stakeholders in shaping your future. As Peter Drucker says, “ If you want to predict the future, create it. “ And with Go Rinconada Movement, we have taken that important step towards creating our long term future.

Join. Move. Develop. Go Rinconada MOVE!

I look forward to having a fun and pleasant working experience with you all.

My sincerest greetings to you and your families.

Best regards
