PI SIGMA 35th Grand Anniversary
 
                                              PI SIGMA  FRATERNITY 35th Anniversary Celebrations
 

1972. Amidst a turbulent year, a Fraternity was born in the University of the Philippines Diliman. PI SIGMA. A Fraternity like no other, PI SIGMA embodies Paglingkuran ang Sambayanan and Paragon of Scholarship –   twin principles of selflessness and scholarly excellence in pursuit of the common good.  

 

Bonded by these ideals and forged by a rite of passage, the Fraternity has shaped the Pi Sigman to be a leader imbued with integrity and uncompromising principles.

 

PI SIGMA has grown by leaps and bounds. Today, members of the Fraternity are present in various engagements – corporate and business, media, government, legal, medical, IT and engineering, the arts, non-governmental organizations, and cause-oriented groups.

 

As part of its social resposibility undertakings, the Pi Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association Inc. (PSFAA Inc.) conducts medical and dental missions, free legal aid program and academic scholarships. In December of 2006, the PSFAA organized a relief aid convoy to the victims of the Mayon mudslide/flood in Albay triggered by supertyphoon Reming.

 

On August 11, PI SIGMA celebrates its 35th anniversary with a Grand Fraternity Ball at the Hotel Intercontinental in Makati. Highlights of the celebration will be the launch of the PI SIGMA Book, and the PI SIGMA Trust Fund. Gawad Sigman Awards will also be handed out to members who had exemplary achievements in various fields of discipline.

 

Jay Dimaiwat, the Pi Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association Inc. (PSFAA) President, said, “the task at hand is to strengthen further the organization; leverage the nationwide scope of membership and be active stakeholders in nation-building.”

   like the ocean’s waves

   ever flowing

   boundless and relentless

   undying…
